The WCA1 WindowCandles Assembly Kit is the only format the WindowCandles are sold in. Due to regulatory reasons, we cannot sell only a replacement candle outside of this kit. For new systems, please purchase the full kit as it includes all the necessary hardware for the window sill configuration.

Product Compatibility
Not all WindowCandles products are compatible with each other. We clearly display this information throughout our site.
- Wax sleeves: Not all wax sleeves are compatible with all bases. No wax sleeves are compatible with square bases or any cap. Please contact us if you want to make sure the wax sleeves work with a particular base. If you order a wax sleeve and it does not work with your base, you may be eligible for a free return.
- Bulbs: Absolutely no other bulb will work properly with the Window Candle stick. The candle is designed to detect a foreign bulb and stop producing light to prevent fires and/or damage to the candle stick. By using any other bulb except for our exclusive WindowCandles product line of 12-volt 2 watt incandescent or LED bulbs, you are violating your limited lifetime warranty and will not be compensated for damage or destruction caused to your candlestick by using incorrect bulbs. You will also be ineligible for candle repairs entirely.
- Wire: By using any other wire other than the official WindowCandles yellow wire, you are violating your warranty and will not be compensated for damage or destruction caused to your system by using incorrect wire.
- Transformer: By using any other transformer other than the official WindowCandles transformers WC50VA, WC4Z (old), WC4Z (new), WC8Z (discontinued), or WC9Z, you are violating your warranty and will not be compensated for damage or destruction caused to your system by using incorrect transformers.
- Mounting hardware: By using any other type of mounting hardware other than the official WindowCandles mounting hardware, you are violating your warranty and will not be compensated for damage or destruction caused to your system by using incorrect hardware.

We have this product in our house that we built 19 years ago, I needed to replace the power source, after replacing the power source I noticed that a couple candles did not work. So process of elimination, I found out that several of my candles were bad. I ordered one new candle replacement kit in the amount of $46 plus tax and shipping. My question to window candles is why can’t I just buy one candlestick instead of buying the kit, I was informed that it was some kind of regulation. I’m not sure what it was. My opinion is I think $46 for one candlestick is a little ridiculous especially when I need to replace six of the nine candles that I have in my windows. Again, this is a fantastic product, the WIRELESS system is amazing, but also you must realize I’m cheap ha ha
As we mentioned on the phone, we’re unable to sell the candle separately from the kit due to regulatory reasons. We completely understand your concern and had explained this policy during our conversation.
To clarify, this requirement comes from UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) low voltage safety standards. These organizations regulate low-voltage lighting systems to ensure all components work safely together. By selling the candles as part of a complete kit, we ensure that the power source, wiring, and candles are all tested and certified as a unit. Selling individual components separately could affect the system’s compliance with these safety standards, which is why we have to follow this requirement.

We know that replacing multiple candles at once can add up, and while we don’t set these regulations ourselves, we have to follow them to ensure product safety and compliance.

We have had these window candles for almost 20 years now (yes we have had to replace some & bulbs of course.) They look very classy, & I love that they are attached to the window sills. It’s good so our pets do not knock them down.
